Tuesday at our house is when the garbage truck comes. It was no big deal - until I had children. Now the garbage truck is eagerly waited for. Then when it comes they run to the window or up in their swing set fort to see better. “There goes my diapers!” They would say as we watched the big part in the front go up and over to dump its smelly load in the back of the truck. We are lucky enough to usually be the house where the truck has to stop and dump its load . We also have a recycle truck come through - but it never seems as interesting. So the garbage men have become semi-heroes in my children’s world - mine, too!
Some times I just shake my head, and think, “Why are we so excited to see the garbage truck?” Then I think of some day when my children won’t be excited about it and thank the Lord for every week that we “catch” the garbage truck and I see the joy on their faces and hear their laughter.

Hey Jendi I know just what you mean. My kids will all but kill each other trying to get to the window or standing on the chairs at the breakfast table(chairs with wheels mind you). Its craziness but fun to watch them!!!
