Western Wear

Bandana SkirtThis past week was Vacation Bible School at our church. It was busy, exciting, fun, and tiring all at the same time.

Our theme was Pioneers and Prairie Dogs so the decorations were American Wild West/Frontier Days and the workers were encouraged to dress western.

The picture shows a skirt that I made out of bandanas. Instead of using all the same color I picked 5 pastel colored bandanas, pink, blue, orange, yellow, and green.

It was fairly easy to make, and I got a lot of nice comments on it even though I didn’t have cowgirl boots.

Oh! That is SO cute!! You are very creative, I must say :) I think I’ll tuck that idea away for if I attend something western themed!

Thank you. I have a pattern for it that I just altered slightly - so not too creative. I found it really neat that you left a comment today - I just checked out your blog today.

If you want more specifics about the skirt - let me know. I would be happy to share.
