Daily “To Do” List

Ok – I admit I’m a list kind of person. I don’t do so good with tight schedules; they make me uptight and frustrated if I don’t do everything according to the schedule. Daily lists are my thing. Also, lists for the store, for packing, for menus, for people to invite, for things to remember to tell my husband, for places to go, etc. The lists get made even though half the time I can’t find the list later. I guess I need a list of my lists.

checklist Before my first child was born I kept the lists mostly in my head. I could remember things then! After my first child was born I had to put “Get dressed” on the list. After the second child I had to put “dress children” on the list. Now I put “Breakfast,” “Lunch,” and “Supper” on the to do list because it feels so good to cross things off the list.

It can look like I had a very productive day if I put every little thing on the list. Although, some days I NEED every little thing on the list!

One thing I always put on my list for the day – “Eat Chocolate.” That way I’m sure that I always get one thing done. =-)

  1. You’re not alone! I am a listwriter who loses lists, too. My problem is that sometimes I don’t have a paper handy, so I think I’ll write that down later… and then I forget. Maybe I need a list of things that need to written on a list… 8-|

  2. Oo….I knew I liked you two ladies for some reason. :o ) I am so with you about the list thing. Give me a strict schedule and I can’t do it…Give me a list and I will excel.

I guess this is the start of our list titled “Ladies who like Lists.” Any other joiners? =-)

  4. Me, too! As the boys and I get older, I find that I need my lists more and more…yet I can’t usually find them! LOL!
