Not a Fair Day For a Fair

Fair calfFair kidToday we went to a local fair.  It was the best time slot for us all week; so even though it was rainy and in the low 60’s all day we loaded up and went.

We actually walked through some of the buildings this time.  Our oldest daughter picked a lollipop that won a prize, a stuffed bear.  Then she picked one for her little sister and won another prize!  My husband said that we should have her buy a lottery ticket. [just kidding - we don't gamble.]

Fair bunnyDue to the inclement weather the rides didn’t open until 4:00pm.  So we went to the petting zoo after the buildings.  All 3 enjoyed it - as you can see by the pictures. [Did you notice the matching culottes on the girls?  I finished them during nap time today!  Made from one yard of material that cost $2.00.]

Of course, with little kids you can’t miss that famous and widely known fair attraction called “Port-a-potties.”

Then, finally, the rides.  There were no lines at all and for most of the rides we/they were the only ones riding.  The let the rides go a little longer because there was no one waiting.  That was fine except for when I was on the tilt-a-whirl with all 3 kids!

P.S.  If you want to see the pictures better just click on them.  It’s not like we take pics of the back of the kids all the time; we did take pics with all of us looking at the camera and smiling.  I just like to be cautious on the web.
