We, in this house, greatly enjoy eating meat. If you are a vegetarian just skip this post.
We eat most kinds of meat besides liver and fish [if you count fish as a meat]; but we prefer good old beef and chicken. The cheapest way to buy beef is usually ground up; therefore we eat burger quite often. At times we have substituted ground turkey or deer with varying results.
Without further ado here is a list of 13 ways that we eat ground beef.
- Burgers [of course]
- Tacos/Enchiladas [my husband loves tacos, but I'm so-so since the last pregnancy when I couldn't even smell them without feeling sick.]
- Sloppy Jo [or barbecue for some of you]
- Meatloaf
- Tator Tot Casserole [easy and everybody in the family eats it well]
- Stuffed Peppers
- The cheap kind of stroganoff - Hamburger Helper [most, not all, kinds]
- Meatballs [I love meatball subs!]
- Porcupine Balls [a different kind of meatball]
- Upside Down Pizza [casserole]
- In spaghetti sauce for spaghetti, stuffed shells, baked ziti, lasagna, etc.
- Hamburger Vegetable Soup
- Pizza Casserole with rotini noodles
The last two we will try soon; I have the recipes ready.
How about you? Any good ground meat recipes? I like hamloaf, but haven’t really made it myself so I didn’t count it.

Yum! Now you’ve made me hungry … Which is terribly mean because all I can eat at the moment is soup or pudding thanks to my aching teeth. *sigh* Soup is also my topic for today’s TT13: 13 Sachets of Instant Soup.

I am curious about Porcupine Balls. Pass along the recipe, if you can!
Happy TT!

Now I am hungry also. We eat a lot of hamburger too due to its affordable price. I haven’t had #13 or #5, but I have the rest. I just looked up some Tater Tot Casserole recipes and there are too many to choose from. Which do you like?

Sounds alot like what is served at our house. I love chicken and fish, but I’m the minority in our house. Everyone else is happier when its ground beef something. Your upside down pizza sounds like something my crew would love. Anything that has the word pizza they go crazy for!

Here’s 1 for you:
1 lb ground beef
2 containers of crescent roll dough
about 8-10 slices of cheese (just whatever kind of cheese you would buy for sandwiches or velveeta)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325° F.
season, brown, and drain. Once browned, mix in the cheese. You can include things like ketchup, mustard, relish, onions (anything you might put on a burger) into your mixture if desired.
On a large round pan, arrange the crescent roll dough.
Pile the mixture on the dough.
Wrap the corners over the dough and tuck under.
Put in oven for 15-20 minutes (times may vary), just keep an eye on the dough and when it’s starting to brown, get ready to remove it.

Yum!!! Sadly, a digestive disorder has forced me into vegetarianism (mostly), but you’re making my mouth water….

We love porcupine meatballs at our house, too!
Though sometimes I manage to get the rice about half done and then yuck!
My son would eat hamburger helper for three meals a day if I’d make it. Of course then hubby would run away.
Sometimes I’m tempted….

I’m the only one who would eat the peppers. Everything else sounds good & we use a lot of burger too.

I love meat and poultry too. Your list made me hungry. And I love liver and fish too!
