What is it that makes kids walk like they are in a marching band? Maybe my kids are the only ones that do it. They all started walking heavy from the get go.
First thing every morning- boom, boom, boom. Don’t wake up your sister!
So, I tell them to tiptoe and it goes twice as fast - bam, bam, bam, bam, bam - but they are on their toes!
We only have wall to wall carpet in the living room and my son’s room. The others are hardwood, fake hardwood. and linoleum. So there is basically nothing to muffle the sound as they sprint to the bathroom first thing in the morning.
I’m guessing that by the time they are teenagers they will have perfected the sneaking around bit.

We have lots of carpet, but I am still FOREVER saying “Sshhhhhhhhhh! You’ll wake the baby!”
