Fall Cleaning

Thanks for visiting! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed using the feedburner link to the right.

I’m not a perfect housekeeper - in no way, shape, or form.  I’m the I’d-rather-be-reading kind of housekeeper, and the I’m-glad-I-have-a-dishwasher-or-we’d-always-use-paper-dishes kind.

Something about the fall season, though, makes me want to clean out.  Or it could just be because there was absolutely no room in my little house for one more thing however small it may be.

So, I went through the girl’s clothes, my clothes, and half my son’s clothes.  I switched seasonal things, took care of out grown things, and generally tried to cut down on the amount of clothes we have.  Praise the Lord we have been blessed with an abundant amount of clothes; and I can’t even remember when I bought clothes new from a store.

I also managed to get through their toys and books.  We rearranged the living room so I was able to toss a couple more things.  I’m telling you I’ve been downright ruthless.

My problem is that during all this cleaning out the regular cleaning got sadly neglected.  If I would wait until I have the house spotless [LOL]  I would never get to the cleaning out part.

Anyways…I’m done crying on your virtual shoulder and off to clean the bathroom.  That’s one job I do religiously every week whether it needs it or not. ;)

Good for you! I have been putting off going through the kids’ clothes and getting out the cold weather clothes. I’m thankful for hand-me-downs, too, but the volume of storing it all can be overwhelming! Thanks for giving me a little inpiration. :) Blessings,

I too have clothing to sort through. Not so easy in Texas, though. Hot one day, cold the next. On some days… cold one minute, hot in the next five. :o)

Thanks for stopping by. I’m eager to start plowing through my reading list.

    Blessings!
