There’s Cheap and Then There’s Free

This puzzle retails new for about $20.00-$25.00.   Each picture has a “door” that opens and there are pictures underneath.  Can you see the thrift shop tag on it?

$1.00 - One Dollar!  It was in my cart in seconds!  My 18 month old girl did play with it while I was shopping, but she won’t remember it till Christmas.  If she does remember she’s not eloquent enough to ask me about it. ;)
img_6607.jpgLast night my Mr. Wonderful put out our garbage and brought in our neighbors.  They had this cabinet out with their trash.

  • It’s taller than me - which doesn’t take much.  That’s a tan 4 door filing cabinet beside it.
  • It can hold lots of my husband’s things - including all his camera equipment that is multiplying slowly.
  • It only needed a good wipe down.
  • It will replace a cabinet half it’s height and take up slightly less floor space.
  • It should help make our room neater.  I hope!

I think he did good!

That cabinet is great! I could really use a homeschool cabinet like that. I always read about everyone elses great finds but I can never find any myself. I guess I just need to look harder. Love the puzzle too! You can’t beat $1 for it.

    Great deal on the cabinet!

Our best curbside treasure was a very large, sturdy, oak colored kitchen table. My dh turned it into his home office desk and even fashioned a hidden drawer into it.

One super hot summer day he came home from work and said before supper we need to walk over and pick up this treasure - and explained about the table.

As mentioned, it was hot and humid and I figured it would be embarrassing to be hauling a huge table betwixt the two of us with 2 kids by our sides….with sweat pouring off of us, and repeated stops to catch our breath.

I persuaded dh that maybe we could take it apart and fit it in our car (no truck or van). He agreed - though said it would not be very far to walk. Needless to say it was much further than anticipated - so glad we had brought the car and that it was easily disassembled.
