So, why did I go to the Farm Show? To meet these ladies…

Katina, Abbi, Me, and Becky. It made the rest of the Farm Show worthwhile.
Abbi’s Mom and my Mom came along to help with the 10 kids that were with us. Praise the Lord for Grandmothers!
My Mom snapped some pictures of Abbi and I so I would have proof that I met an online friend and she was not “some hairy man from Nebraska.” [My husband was protectively wary of meeting an "online friend." I figured if somebody wanted to do me in they wouldn't ask to meet at a crowded Farm Show.]
The photo op wasn’t the greatest in the cow row with people constantly walking in front of us, but it was fun.

I was laughing or making faces in most of the pictures. I liked the first one after I cropped the kids out. [I better say children because we actually saw some kids.] The next one is a good one, but the camera focused on Abbi’s sister instead of us. It’s neat anyways.
A summary of our short trip:
- an alpaca to pet [the animal was really calm]
- lots of cows [My kids insisted on seeing the cows.]
- lots of sheep [shaved and unshaved]
- goats getting showers [yes, we watched]
- feed and pet a goat [The kids pulled the hay from the pen and fed it to the goat. The goat took it from them. Crazy goat.]
- free food samples [toothpicks anyone?]
- a Chocolate Milkshake [half spilled on the floor...the nice lady gave us more!]
- a 1600 pound Bison [hard to imagine a field full of them]
- children’s play area [This was pretty neat and waylaid us on our way out.]
- carousel [My 19 month old was so tired she cried when it started.]
- shuttle ride to and from the parking lot [with a stroller that I had to jam in the seat]
The kids and I are looking forward to the rodeo tomorrow night. Other than that, I had my fill of the Farm Show for this year. Abbi and I are going to meet up at Cabelo’s next time. If anyone else is in the area and wants to come along give us a holler.

Aww, great pics!! I can’t wait to post about it too!
And the play area totally saved us and bought us several more hours of the farm show! If the kids hadn’t had a chance to play and run a little, I don’t think we would have made it much farther.
And I LOVED the baby kids! I think they were some of my favorite animals from today…great pics!
Thanks for meeting up with us…we had SUCH a great time!
It was so nice to meet you! My Mom said it’s like meeting some kind of celebrity!
Your Mom was so sweet…aren’t Moms great at crowded events like these!?
A fun child-filled, crazy, rip roarin’, fun time was had by all!
Wow! I wished I lived closer. I could have thrown four more kids in the mix. LOL! Glad you had a fun day.
I miss the Farm Show! The closest we’ve gotten to being there for it, was it starting the morning we had to head home. :^(
Wow… I wished I could’ve met you too, except I don’t have kids and I was working:o). Glad you got to meet the girls!
