Yesterday my daughter’s friend stayed overnight. It was the first time one of my kid’s friends stayed overnight. I’m sure it won’t be the last time. Especially because she has kept my children occupied all morning. I’m likin’ it!
There are disputes to be settled. “Take turns!” Reconciliations to be made. “Be careful now.” Toys to find so my kids can show their friend a certain thing. Kool-aid to be poured. All the same kind of skills a big company would use.
There are no diapers. She dresses herself. It’s different than babysitting. Maybe it’s just those strange looks she gives me. I’m the parent now.

When I babysit the nieces I actually like it if they have a friend, or a cousin over - less fighting between the siblings.

Haha. I’m glad she was able to entertain your kids.
I can send her over anytime.
Seriously though, thanks for letting her stay the night.

Jendi joins the big leagues of parenting! Just wait till they get to be “tweens” and want to try and stay up all night.
