It’s Snow-Raining and It’s Beautiful

The word snow is in the Bible 24 times in 24 verses.

My favorite is:

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

The word “snow” is used in the book of Job the most. In Job 37:6 Elihu tells us that God commands the snow. So it does help to pray for it! ;)

A lot of the verses use snow to describe white. White as snow. As compared to white as what? Lamb’s wool? Milk? Salt? I’m guessing that snow stays closest to the true white color.

Less than half of the times the word snow is used to actually mean the weather. Sometimes then it even is used as a seasonal reference.

What does all this mean?

It just means I was watching, driving, and playing in the beautiful snow right before I needed to type a post.

Praise the Lord for the beautiful earth He gave us.

Is it snowing where you are?

It is not snowing right now, but it snowed a couple of days ago. Today, it is supposed to get up to 50, so all of the snow is going away and we are left with the yucky road mush! Hmmm…maybe there is a lesson there?
