Do any of you other mothers get tired of saying no?

no Smilie saying NO tsk tsk NO NO no no motherfucker No WaySome days it feels like that’s all I say. No, you can’t have candy. No, you may not go outside without your coat. No, you must not let the 1 year old have markers. No, don’t jump off the bunk bed. No candy. No you can’t wear sandals in the snow. No, you aren’t allowed to stay up all night. No, you can’t use the sharp knife. No Candy!

I do say “not now” occasionally. There’s just some days… No, No, No! It’s not going to change in 2 minutes. It’s not going to change if you ask me a different way. A-a-a!

Are my children the only ones like this?!

One of my older children will ask for something and the 1 year old will say, “No-o.” Is this a bad sign?

Wow - Sounds familiar, and today is one of those days! We were shopping and I think my kids asked for every item we passed or stopped and looked at. No, you can’t have that. We are not buying toys we are just looking. No you still can’t have that. No, if I told your sister no then it is no for you too!! AAHHHHH!! Yeah I hear ya - it is not just your kids! - Love you guys!

No. Do not ask again. I already said no.

What part of the word “No” do you not understand? Was I not clear? The worst part is, as they get older, they just present more lawyer like arguements.
