Last Saturday we were headed to that big retail store that starts with W and ends with mart.
Bear in mind that it is not one of my favorite places to shop. You are more than welcome to love the store. Just don’t expect me to love it. However, sometimes it’s the easiest place for me to get our toiletries for a good price. We have to use shampoo and deodorant, ya know.
We were headed to the second closest store of that particular chain. Partly because the closest one is always crowded on the weekends, partly because it’s just junkier, and partly because a year or so ago an employee got stabbed by a customer. Sounds like where I want to take my kids, ya think?
My whole immediate family is in the vehicle. I have my list and coupons. I’m prepped, psyched, and ready to shop.

It did actually turn out ok. We only had to make one bathroom trip. We found all but 2 things we wanted. No meltdowns by the kiddos or their mother. Saw another couple we know. I only bought one wrong thing; and I saved $15.00 with coupons.
We had already planned to treat ourselves to lunch at the restaurant with the golden arches. We just let the kids figure it out for themselves. We even used 5 coupons for free things at the restaurant.
Then we drove home and took naps. That was fun too. ![]()

Last week while I was at W*mart by myself with three children, I thought to myself that this must be some form of cruel torture! I think that store is a necessary evil, and I’m not being cliche.

Wow, I go to the same store(we have one just over a mile down the street now!! Cool!) with 3 small kids- 5 & under- by myself all the time!! I guess I don’t think much of it. Sometimes it is crazy but most times we do fine! I do try to stay away from that restaurant with the golden arches though!! There is one of those even closer to us! Yuck, I greatly dislike the place but the kids love it- well, so does the hubby!! Oh well, I guess I’ll live!

I’m familiar with that store as well. I greatly dislike shopping there on the weekend because of the crowds. Unless I want to drag a 3.5 year old, 23 month old, and 6 month old with me then I have to shop on the weekend when DH is home. I find it rather difficult to have room for the groceries when one of my three kids is sitting in the back of the cart. lol Not to mention, the 3.5 year old finds the store extremely boring (unless we stop by the toy section) and would rather stay home anyway. Fine by me! We like the Golden Arches as well but don’t go there often. We prefer the taco place just around the corner from the house. lol Naps…ahhh…those are ALWAYS good to me.
