Easter is Coming!

Easter is probably my favorite holiday - after my wedding anniversary. :-) We don’t do a whole lot of celebrating. It’s just that the meaning of Easter makes it my favorite.

We will have baskets for the kids, but no Easter bunny. They know that I put gifts/candy in the baskets after they go to bed. They will hunt eggs at each grandparents house. They know that the grandparents hid the eggs, not a bunny. [Why does a bunny have eggs anyways?]

I will try to abstain from eating their chocolate.

They will have new clothes for church, and I will try to get the girls to wear hats.

We will eat a ham dinner with family and friends.

I know that it’s not the exact day Jesus rose from the grave, and there are lots of pagan rituals. Still, I enjoy the small focus on Christ’s resurrection and the hope it gives.

Enjoy the day! I always save some chocolate from the bags and don’t put it in the kid’s baskets. This leaves me some to munch on with out having to “snitch” from the kids.
