Kailani at An Island Life hosts Aloha Friday every week. “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing heavy or too thought-provoking.”

My question for this week is
What is a feature that your dream house would have to have in order to be your dream house?
I would like a very large jacuzzi please. Something like this:
That’s me sitting on the sink. It was the end of our honeymoon. I took pictures of every room – with a 35 millimeter camera, no less. Remember those?
Do you think my heavenly mansion could have a jacuzzi? I’d like a library too, and a greenhouse, a sewing room, and a hammock.
Have a great weekend!
Speaking of houses…If you have any great moving tips please help me out by commenting on this post.

A HUGE, huge library already stocked with books. Not those stuffy leather bound ones (well, a few (hundred) would be okay because they are very pretty, but I would be afraid to touch them.) The library also needs a large window and lots of comfy chairs and a ladder or two.

I like the jacuzzi! My dream house would have an indoor pool and outdoor covered tennis courts so we could still play in the heat of summer. And a library. And an enormous mudroom with TWO washing machines and TWO dryers so maybe I could keep up!

My dream house would have to have a huge kitchen with a double oven and lots of storage. I have always wanted a pool with a waterfall. I would also love to have a cat-litter room and a dog wash!

While the kids were growing up we lived on 4 acres without a neighbor within hollaring distance. I miss the great open space and my dream home would have to have a very large yard for my grandchildren. I’m a bit over-protective so we’d have to have a good fence with the pool having it’s own fence still. We’d have to have a treehouse, playhouse, a path for biking and scooters and… I wrote about this in a post last August.

Wow! I like everyone’s ideas. I’d say for me, personally, lots of windows – I love light. A morning room with (shock) lots of windows, including bay windows with a window seat. Definitely the library. A rose garden. Big trees with at least one good climber. Water outside, preferably a small creek. Streets around it (or a big driveway) good for riding bikes. A fireplace. A big porch with a porch swing. This is really fun. My list is growing. Those things would all make me very happy. A maid wouldn’t hurt.
I’m with you on this one that’s what I want in my house too

I would love a large kitchen for my hubby. I would also like a big walk-in closet where I can put my clothes and shoes.

It’s a tough choice between a walk in closet/ or walk in pantry for my kitchen, or a bigger kitchen with granite counter tops and an island in the middle.
