Foiled…and Loving It

FoilMy sister gave me a roll of aluminum foil for Christmas. She did give me other things as well; not just foil.

The foil was kind of a gag gift, but I love it. Foil and I go together like salt and pepper, bread and butter, hand and glove, shoe and sock, wheel and tire, eggs and bacon, ketchup and mustard…you get the idea.

It’s even Reyn*ld’s Wrap. Name brand foil! For as much as I love it I just can’t buy the name brand without a really good coupon. So, I usually end up with the store brand, and it’s definitely inferior. It works, but it’s just not the same.

There is foil in my freezer, my fridge, and one cupboard that I can think of. Even as we speak I type there is foil in the oven under the chicken nuggets. Gourmet cook I am not.

Speaking of gourmet cooks – This is one big area where I just can’t do like M*rtha Stew*rt recommends. I admire a lot of her ideas, but she is definitely anti-foil and I’m pro-foil. Nobody’s perfect; even though most of her stuff comes out looking perfect. Maybe I’ll worry about it when I’m over forty.

For now I’ll happily use my 250 square feet of the almost best thing in my kitchen.

You are too funny! Do you let your kids make sculptures out of it? I’ve read that it’s a great activity for car trips. Or is it too sacred for that?

    Hey Jendi!

I totally agree – I’m sitting here next to the kitchen where a roll of Reynold’s wrap heavy duty sits…bought with a $1 off coupon, of course! It was heavenly! I say, rock on foil!
