My husband and I picked up this horse at a yard sale. It was free because it was missing a spring. I’m missing some spring too. Anybody have some to spare?

Our Little Cowboy

Sadly, it sat for about a year. Some days I feel like I could sit for a year, but I guess I would get bored…eventually.

Riding Hard

My Mr. Wonderful got a spring for it. See the silver spring on the back? That’s the new one. He also put a dowel rod in for the kids to hang on to.

Riding in to the Wind

It’s already provided hours of fun and lots of lessons in taking turns and sharing.

Our son only knocked it over once while riding. Cowboy Up.

It looks like your kids are loving it! I have been trying to think of a few new toys to get to keep my kids busy outside this summer. Maybe I’ll look for an old horse at garage sales.

I picked one of those up at a yard sale a few years ago and my kids love it too. I originally bought it for Anna Kate who named it Ty Pennington. When I asked why, she replied that it was the name of the horse on Felicity (the American Girl movie). I finally figured out that Felicity called her horse “my Penny” and our Extreme Home Makeover fan thought that she was saying, “Ty Pennington.”

DH picked one up at a yard sale a couple years ago. Maybe I should hide it before next week. I’m not sure I want 4 kids fighting over it. Haha.

I have no spring in me, that’s for sure! Glad that the pony is up and giddy-upping! My daughter is like your son, I am still in awe that God had protected her from all the broken bones she should surely have earned by now!

My brother got that exact horse for Christmas in 1980. He was two years old. I was so jealous of him writing and rocking back and forth on that thing. Alas, I was ten and over the weight limit. They should make those for adults, a cardio version where you can burn some serious calories and work your calves.

Looks like lots of fun. So where do you get those? The springs I mean? Or is it marbles I’m missing. I’ll have to think about it.
    Good post.
