Yesterday there was a buzz all around the lobby. It might R-A-I-N. It did. For five minutes.
We were glad to see it. The good Arizona weather can get annoying. Kind of like one of those constantly happy, bubbly people that you just want to slap after a while.
We took advantage of the good weather Monday, before the notorious rain, to drive five hours to Tombstone. Yea, we’re kind of crazy.
This was the type of scenery we drove by 75% of the way. I kept waiting for Clint Eastwood to ride into view.
Here I am pretending to play a piano in the Bird Cage Theater which is a museum now. It was a scandalous place in its day, and I wouldn’t be caught dead in it if it were still operating. They had the grand piano there that was shipped around S. America and used in the theater during the time of Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp.
Tombstone = Dusty. For sure. I don’t think I’ll ever get the dust out of my shoes. I shampooed my hair twice.
As interesting as Tombstone was it didn’t give me the feeling of respect and amazement that the Pima Air and Space Museum did. 275 aircraft!
Here I am on the Airforce One that was used by Presidents Kennedy and Johnson.
I recommend checking it out if you are ever near Tucson, even if your husband is not airplane crazy.

That’s really cool. Or should I say hot? I know you may not be posting them, but make sure that you get lots of pics together. I kick myself all the time for not doing that enough (even when I carry my camera around constantly).

Ahh yes, I remember that weather. Although, when we were out there it did rain all day one day…the day we went to see the Grand Canyon. Go figure! Sounds like you’re having fun though!
