Fighting For My Fair Share and More

This is fighting territory in our house. Not between my husband and I. Between my kids and I.

This is peach juice left from a jar of canned peaches. Good stuff! Oh yeah.

The peaches were carefully divided among my 3 children and I for lunch. I gave each of them a fair share and still felt guilty not to be sharing my fair share. “But Mommy, I ate all my peaches.” “No, these are mommy’s.” “Can I have a bite?” “Me too?” and one more “Me too?” “No! These are mine,” I say as I keep my arm around my bowl and my spoon flying to my mouth.

Besides too many peaches affects them in the bathroom way if-you-know-what-I-mean.

Then I snuck the juice into the fridge to try to drink it alone later, but my plan failed.

So I carefully divided the juice between the four of us as well. They kept their eyes on me and checked each portion.

I just didn’t tell them that I drank some while they were napping. ;)

    Jendi,
I have been in that same situation many times. Sigh! That is probably why I do most of my “snacking” after the kid’s bedtime.
