Kailani at An Island Life hosts Aloha Friday every week. “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. We have some friends that would sit in their house at their own computers and IM or e-mail each other. The first time I heard about it I laughed out loud, but within a year my hubby and I were doing the same.
We caught ourselves and try not to do that anymore - at least not too often.
We were able to do that because we have one desk computer and one laptop. They both work, but our printer is on its last leg.
How about you?
How many computers do you have in your house? How many work?

We have two desk tops and three lap tops. One of the desk tops hasn’t been set up since we moved a year ago. One of the lap tops (I’m using it now) has issues (as you can read in my Aloha Friday post today) The desk top is down stairs in my husband’s office and occasionally, when I’m in the attic (an upstairs bedroom set up as my sewing room) and he’s in the office, he’ll IM me. I suppose it’s because we’re both busy and not within hollering distance. All of the printers, fax machine etc are in the office.

We have two laptops and one desktop, at one point we had three laptops and one desktop. No printer yet. Want to get an all in one that can do photos too.

We have one iMac, one linux server and 2 laptops (both with linux) - all work, but the iMac is my favorite.
We might have a couple of unassembled pcs floating around in the bedroom somewhere - my husband likes to keep them for parts, but I haven’t seen any and think if we have any at the moment, they are all at our parents’ houses in storage. We have a printer / copy / scanner thing hooked up to the whole shebang.

The working question is a good one! I have one desk top and one laptop. I would love another laptop, so I don’t have to battle for the laptop from my husband!!!

We have 3 that work and a few that don’t and are missing parts. My husband bought 1 and uses 2 monitors with it in his home office. My parents gave us 2 of their older ones. The kids and I use those 2. Remember when it was a dream just to have 1?

I have my own wonderful pink laptop, Joseph has his own desktop that he built and then we have Joseph’s laptop from college that has its moments.

I have my lap top and hubby’s from work. In addition to this we have our main desktop and an older one that we hope to set up (still works) for our almost 5 year old son. Can you tell my hubby is a computer geek? He built both of the desktops from scratch.

embarrassed to say, but we have 2 desktops, and 4 laptops. three of us in the house and we each have a laptop, plus my husband has a work laptop. and yes, we have been guilty of talking to each other through computers while in different rooms.

I’ve got the desktop, Brian’s got a laptop, and two old ones that might work. We do facebook or e-mail acros the living room, but mostly to tease or share links.

We have 3 computers but I’m usually on all of them! LOL!
