My husband figured out that the way he was dressed affected how much service he got at Home Depot/Lowe’s.
When he went shopping and looked like a contractor dressed in his jeans, t-shirt, and boots he hardly ever got asked if he needed help.
Then he went shopping on a business lunch break dressed in a button down shirt and slacks. He was approached by several employees during that one trip.
Hmm, interesting…
Don’t know how it works for ladies ’cause I never go in those stores by myself. Truthfully, I even avoid going with him. I just write a list and he does the dirty work.
