After she petted the calves she squatted down and looked up under their bellies. I’m so glad that her Daddy was closer to her than I was. He got to answer her questions. By the way, one of them was a boy.
Speaking of cows…
She also asked, Mommy, why didn’t milk come out of the cow instead of just water?”
Umm…maybe because it’s just a 5 gallon bucket and rubber things to squeeze.
We did have a nice time at the fair.
It was the first year we didn’t take a stroller. The backpack worked fine and my husband and I took turns carrying the 2 yo when she didn’t want to run.
My 2 yo wouldn’t go down the tube slide that was at the end of the big walk through thing for kids. I don’t know what it’s called. It has punching bags, a ball pit, a rope ladder, a wobbly bridge, and a big tube slide.
We were worried she wouldn’t climb up. That wasn’t a problem. She wouldn’t slide down. Our other 2 children went through 3 times while she stood there. Finally the man stopped all the other kids, went up, and got her.
I felt bad for her, but I was embarrassed as I listened to the other parents around me. There was no way to act like I didn’t know her; we wore our matching clothes. LOL I wouldn’t do that anyways…maybe.
We also had to remove her from the corn box. When my husband took her sneakers off for bath time he found corn still them.
The kids just don’t understand why the fair isn’t every week. I enjoy going, but I’m surely glad it isn’t every week!

Too funny about the cows. We went to the fair but didn’t stop to look at the animals. We did take a stroller though because I wasn’t carrying my 11 month old around all afternoon. My 4yo rode all the rides she was big enough for and cried that she wasn’t big enough for the…hmm…I don’t even remember the name of it now. My 2yo rode the train at least 5 times. He liked it but the thing he liked the most was the fun house…even the tube slide. Everytime he came down the slide he grinned and ran for the entrance again.
