I know exactly what you mean. The other day I was washing dishes and my 4yo came up to me and asked me to get her a drink. Meanwhile my DH was sitting at the counter doing nothing. The bathroom thing describes my house perfectly. It never fails. The kids will be playing and as soon as I get in the bathroom they walk through the house yelling for me.

Isn’t it the truth! We went out to eat last night at a small restaurant and our son, who is in the early stages of potty training, said he needed to go to tee-tee. My husband said he would take him, only to come back and say, “He wants you.” The ladies’ room was occupied, so all three of us were in the men’s room. My husband stood there saying, “I’m sorry, hon. He just wanted you to help him.” Nice…! Bless ‘em!

You just described my life to a T. Especially the bathroom thing! What is with following you to the bathroom? My 3 year old son hates it if I’m in the bathroom when he has to go, but he just barges right in if I’m in there.

Mommy does trump Daddy, almost every time. My Girlie is almost 2, and if my husband tries to tuck her in at night with her favorite blankie, she immediately rips it off, stands up in her crib, and hands it to me, saying, “More in?” Apparently my hubby (who is a mechanical engineer, btw) just can’t quite get the tuckage done correctly.
