See anything missing on this bugle?
Yup, the mouthpiece. Sorry, no prize for right guesses.
My 5 yo son was pretending he was the calvary. When he “came home” for supper the mouthpiece was missing.
Of course he has no idea where he lost it, and he was only on about 5 acres of ground.
Calvary charges don’t happen in small areas you know.
Our search did not uncover the vital missing piece. I was upset, yet relieved. Guess he can’t play it now.
I recorded some of his “songs.” Listen at your own risk.
So, my quandry is this…Get rid of the bugle or get another mouthpiece?
Hold on…
While I had the bugle out to take pictures of it my son figured out that he could make “music” without the mouthpiece.
I told him to take it outside. After all, he can’t lose another piece off it.
Charge!

Hey - not too bad of a tone quality for a 5 yo!

Not bad for a 5yo.
I’m not sure I could handle listening to it for a long period of time though. I secretly rejoice when my children misplace their noisy toys. Is that bad?

Children will always find a way to make noise.

Yeah, is that a blessing or a curse? You are a brave woman to give a youngster an instrument…although they can make instruments out of anything can’t they
