Let me just say that if I were required to cook for breakfast my family would be going hungry till lunch.
I know that breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day. It’s just never been very important to me.
My favorite special breakfast is Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. My favorite every day breakfast is toast and cocoa.
My 5 1/2 yo son can already make, butter, and jelly his own toast. The extra 15 minutes in bed is worth cleaning up the mess.
Before we had the kids it was common to see my husband and I eating cake or chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.
Homemade cake or cookies just might be healthier than the Pop-tarts that we eat occasionally.
Fruit is great for breakfast too. Just this morning we had fruit cups and cashews.
We balance every breakfast by taking our vitamins, [just in case you've gotten the impression I'm lax in the nutrition department], and I make them eat cereal before they have a cupcake.
Sometimes we have day old cinnamon rolls from the grocery store bakery. Just microwave for about 15 seconds and eat.
Now that’s a good breakfast!

I’m reading this as I eat a bowl of cereal! I NEVER, hardly ever cook breakfast. All my hubs eats and wants for breakfast is cereal, each and every day. I used to get bothered that he didn’t want to eat the eggs and bacon that I used to cook for breakfast, but now I am just sooooo glad he doesn’t expect anything but cold cereal! It works for me. The kids never complain that they are being trained in the cereal= breakfast routine.

And there are SO many types of cereal! Even oatmeal can be done in the microwave now. Not that any of us like oatmeal…
I love to cook up 2 eggs if I have the time, but this past week I haven’t had the time. I bought mini shredded wheat for just those occasions. I don’t really like milk and cereal for some reason, but love to eat it dry. Makes it a nice on-the-go breakfast while driving to work. Goes along great with my cup of coffee in the car =D How do you eat such unhealthy food for breakfast and still stay so skinny???

I eat healthy cereal. Cinnamon Life is my favorite. Then Honey Bunches, Special K, and just finished some Cinnamon Shredded Wheat.
I think the skinniness is partly inherited. LOL

Yea! It’s quick and easy.
I have also the same wishes for the inventor of cold cereal.I am a busy person and cannot cook breakfast in hurry.So its a solution of my problem.That’s why I am thankful to him.
