My kids and I found this photo on Flickr months ago. We enjoy seeing it on our screensaver.
Here’s the thing…
Is the cowboy riding in to the sun or away from the sun?
I can give good arguments both ways. So think about it! The picture should enlarge a bit if you click on it.
Sadly, I did not keep the link to the photographers site, and I can’t find the picture on Flickr now. So, if you are the photographer or know who is please let me know so I can give proper credit.

Nice! I have to say that he’s riding away from the sun. There’s too many physical features that are at a weird angle to be going into the sun. Wish we knew the photographer so we could find out which way he’s going!!! =)

He is riding into the sunset . His rope is in his right hand . Most are right handed.
I think that’s the best evidence yet…
He’s walking toward the camera. That was my first impression and I thought so even more when I enlarged and looked at the raised hoof in the lower left of the picture. Great photo!

We looked at that hoof too. I think it could be bent either way…
I’m going to say he’s riding away from the sun…unless his feet are on backwards.
Their feet always point toe out and the shadow could be either way…
He is riding INTO the sun. The chaps are the key.

I saw riding away from the sun. All of the angles would show that he is coming towards the photographer.
