Today I come before you to reveal the secret identity of this table/chest of drawers.
It’s actually a sewing desk with storage and it’s very cool/awesome/neat/whatever word you prefer.
My sewing machine is easily tucked away in this cupboard where it is surrounded by wood and protected from flying objects or spilled drinks. Not that either of those things happen in my house.
The small top left drawer has notions, the right has thread. The bigger drawers are packed with material, lace, elastic, etc. You get the idea.
It stretches out to approx. 7 feet long. I can cut out new clothes while leaving the dirty dishes on the kitchen table.
My mental excuses for not sewing are certainly lessened.
Now if I could only keep it as clean as it is in the pictures.
Do you have a sewing desk? Do you have to stash your machine in your bedroom and set it up on the kitchen table whenever you want to sew? Been there. Done That.

That’s awesome! I’ve always had to stash my machine, but I’m in the process of putting together a little sewing room, where I won’t have to tuck the machine away every time. Ah bliss.
I love your cabinet! Happy sewing.

Very nice! I’d be jealous if I knew how to sew. Haha. Now that we’re out of the house my mom has a whole room just for sewing. She loves it.
Your mom does nice work, too!

Wow! This is so coo! I don’t have a cabinet for my machine, so am very jealous of such an all-in-one work center! Awesome:)

I have Grandma Pagano’s old sewing machine - but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I really need to though.

You won’t regret using it, I’m sure.

How clever! The idea of having all that table space for sewing is making me drool.
We have a junky old table we use for crafts that I sew on. I guess I could slip my sewing machine under the table, but my youngest daughter hides under it. I can envision the masses of tangled thread now.
Anyway, I’m sew (ha!) happy for you!

Thanks for visiting! I agree that it would not be good to have the machine under the table.
Love the pun!
