Old Carrots vs. Baby Carrots

Do you remember when baby carrots first became popular?
You had to pay extra to get the cute little round carrots.
Now it’s usually cheaper to buy the “baby carrots.”

The last time we shopped at Aldi my munchkins discovered long carrots.

After they finished their bag of baby carrots I promised to peel and cut the “new” carrots for them.

The excitement mounted and mounted.

With joy they watched me peel and slice before they crunched.

“Mommy, they taste just like the little carrots!”

They didn’t understand why I laughed.
