Will I Ever Look Like I’m Organized?

If you are here from the carnival – welcome!
A lot of you are not in my regular blog circle and I’m excited to make new online friends.  (Never thought I’d say that!)
I stumbled across the last carnival after it was done and enjoyed your videos.

Edited to add: I’m seriously outclassed. Some of you are vlogging pros!

So, here’s my vlog for today.
If you are a glutton for punishment and want to see more of me on video just visit my Video page.

I’m sorry about the brightness. It didn’t show that bad in the little camera screen and I had everything put away when I saw it on the computer. I really do have two sides to my face.  I was just too lazy to do it all over again.

[To my husband - don't bother watching it. It's horrible.]

You did a great job! I got a kick out of your “outtakes” at the end. I think we all did multiple takes to get something we were semi-happy with. We’re just not saying how many :-)

Jendi, I’m so excited that you decided to join the party! You have such a sweet spirit, and the message of your post is one that I could have used when my three were little. I just couldn’t let “stuff” go, esp. in the house. Anyway, I really enjoyed this and “meeting” you. Loved the outtakes because I am a goof and love to see other people be “real.” Blessings! Linda

Amen!! One of the things I am most thankful about myself is that i am not a neat freak and do not “need” my house to be perfect. I was able to sit down with my kids and read or play with them and let the dishes, etc wait for another day. (now my husband may not agree when things stack up! ha!)

    great advice!!!

    Hello Jendi
Let me introduce myself. I am Greg from Gregsgeneralstore. I am the only man brave enough to participate in I see what you’re saying. In fact this is my second appearance and I got a personal invite back by Linda herself. I don’t know what you are talking about concerning the children. It is 815 pm and my wife is ironing curtains, washing clothes and doing dishes all at the same time. I made dinner and after I finish blogging, I need to pick up the mounds of clothes that our two boys have thrown all around the house. My oldest is already thinking about; What’s for breakfast and the youngest is thinking about the next mess he will be making. A parents job never ends but we still love it.

Very nicely done! Bravo! And packed with words of wisdom for those just venturing out on this crazy ride we call motherhood!

  7. I so get this, and I am not even a mother. I am a house wife who works from home and is “Mommy” to four pet children. It’s always a struggle to maintain the house, wifely duties, the children, and work. I keep everything I need to do on schedule, and never miss. There is for some reason a lot of pressure to have it all together and the perfect tidy home, and I don’t know why that is. I like the message you are sending in your video. It is ok if things aren’t perfect.

Thanks for the great reminder to me as a mom of two little ones. Sometimes I think I’m a little too quick to let everything else go, but I really love spending time with my kiddos, so that blasted unorganized desk will just have to wait.

Oh, that feeling of not getting it all right, when you know some days you’ve chosen the better by rocking the baby all day, or wondering why you can’t manage a shower and a little makeup by 6 p.m. I have more time now, but I wished when my kids were young I had let more go to do what really mattered. Love your vlog, and your encouragement.

I am sending my daughter over here to hear your advice! She is pregnant for the first time and has my type A personality. Oh, Lord. She’s disappoints herself when she doesn’t meet her own very high expectations. Been there, done that.

So very nice to meet you! Thanks for the effort in 7 plus takes so we can see what you’re saying!!
