I’m sitting here checking my Google Analytics and I am just amazed!
I just recently put the code in so it could track visitors for me. Thanks to Courtney I now know that it needs to go in the footer.php file. If you use Google Reader you can click on “My Account” on the top right of your screen to set up Analytics for your blog.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t tell me your name. I can find out countries (22!), browsers used (IE, Firefox, etc.), how long people stayed (need to work on that), and what pages get the most visits. The only way I know exactly who is reading is if you leave me a comment (which I love!).
It’s exciting that so many people read my little blog! Well, many is relative – it’s many for me.
It’s humbling that so many people read my little blog!
So thank you, thank you very much for coming and reading.
I’m planning on learning how to make my blog even nicer (and more successful) at the Blissdom conference.
If you have any suggestions for me on design, content, questions I’d be delighted to hear them.

About the only thing I would say (and you can take it or leave it, of course!) is that maybe your paragraphs could be longer. Or less spaced out, I guess? I do think some of the sentences can be combined more often is what I’m trying to say. I realize that sometimes it helps to double space fairly often just because it adds more emphasis on some points, but there are other times when (for me) it gets to a point of feeling a little disjointed. I struggle with that problem myself, so I know it can be hard to do!
Of course, there are some bloggers who go to the extreme in the opposite way and don’t seem to understand the idea of double spacing or even using paragraphs! I guess the former problem is much better to have than the latter! (I think so, at least, because I can’t read blogs like that and end up not visiting them anymore!)
You don’t have to keep this comment up, and I do hope this isn’t coming across as overly critical or as if I’m some sort of know-it-all or anything of the sort! I just noticed that today and since you had asked for some feedback, I thought I would give my two cents (or maybe it’s worth even less than that, LOL!)

This is a good suggestion Arlene! I don’t feel that it is overly critical. I’ve always struggled with focus. I used to write letters to my sister in college and she told me I jumped subjects too much way back then.
I’ll keep working on it. My poor husband has to deal with subject jumps, gaps, and disjointed speaking all the time. No backspace or edit when I talk. LOL
I really like your blog! It’s funny because when I click on a blog with one long continuing group of paragraphs I just can’t sit still long enough to get through them. I like the spaces. I’m not, after all reading a term paper or even a magazing article! I’ve read to keep the posts to 500 words or less so most of the time I try to do that. But you do what works for you, I think it’s great!
Blessings and can’t wait to hear all you learn at Blissdom!

Thanks for your input on my site… It really helped to remind me why I started blogging in the first place.
