On Friday in Nashville the weather was gorgeous. My munchkins really wanted to play outside and Daddy was happy to oblige while I was at the conference.
Saturday was zoo day. Just ask my husband about packing up and checking out of the condo. Then they went to the zoo. 
Besides all the wonderful animals they got to see there is a petting zoo…
and they got to feed the birds. They were much prettier than the birds in Mary Poppins. My husband got some to perch on his arm. The munchkins are a bit too short and shaky for the birds to sit on.
“What’s that? Your mommy left you for a conference?”
“Wow. She is laying down on the job.”
“This is what I think of her conference. She could have been visiting us.”

Great pictures! We haven’t been to the Nashville zoo even though we’ve lived in the area for more than 2 years. After the new baby arrives, we’re going to look into a family membership so that we can go for free.

My kids love feeding those birds at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. Last time, though, one pooped all the way down the front of Anna Kate’s dress. Good thing the van had a spare.
Nashville does have a great zoo. Glad to see that they had a great time on the trip too! =)
