When I was a little girl I fell in love with the small soaps that are left in hotel bathrooms. I still have a soft spot for them.
My earliest remembrance is my dad bringing the soaps back from his business trips. He always took a regular bar of soap and brought back the complimentary soaps still wrapped up.
On my senior trip the lady that shared the motel room with me went into the bathroom and said, “Where’s the soap?” I had already stuck them in my suitcase. LOL! She actually wanted to use them. Shocking, isn’t it.
When we were packing up our house in May 08 I spotted a whole stockpile of soaps and shampoos. There were even some my dad and mom brought back from Portugal for me. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually shoved some in the trash. ~gasp~ Let me tell you, it was surprisingly hard, but I’m breaking my addiction bit by bit.
We went to 2 condos this last vacation with 2 bathrooms each. We actually used the soaps! I used some of the shampoo and lotion. I only brought home what you see pictured.
4 bathrooms = 4 shampoos, conditioners, lotion, mouthwash, and soap.
Brought home = 3 shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. Only 1 soap and 2 mouthwashes.
So, do any of you know if the hotels/motels/condos leave the samples in the rooms if they’re not used? If the seal is not broken? ’Cause if they’re just gonna throw them away I’m snatching them.

I love those little soaps and shampoos too. They’re just so cute. And fun. Reminds me of taking a trip, and I love travelling.
