Today’s handbag meme is courtesy of Hannah from Changing my Definition of Life. I’ve known her since before she carried purses. Back when she kept bugging her sister and I when we tried to play. Thankfully, she’s much nicer now.

I carried this purse just this morning to the thrift store, the train yard, and the grocery store. Since my last baby’s first birthday I have carried the diaper bag and purse as 2 separate things. Worked better that way for foisting my children off on my husband, grandparents, friends, or anyone willing to take them. I’m kidding!
It’s from J.C. Penney’s. I can’t remember the price; I just remember that it was 50% off.
Before this lady entered my life I’d only carried black, brown, tan, or white purses. It’s the first time I’ve gone so much against the “rule” of matching shoes and bag. I’m such a rebel. I’ve never owned pink shoes – as long as jellies don’t count. I used very neutral diaper bags/backpacks so my husband wouldn’t feel foolish schlepping them around. There’s no reason for him to carry my purse so bring on the pink!

What are the chances? My mom’s bag looks just like that but black. She uses it all the time. You saw it in JcPennys for 50% off. Don’t tell that to my mom.

Love the purse! I’m a diaper bag purse combo person. But I never use a real diaper bag – always a big purse/bag. And I have a pink canvas one that I love using in the spring and summer. Lots of small and large compartments to keep things easy to find.
I love that pink! Last year I decided to go crazy (ha ha) and I bought a summer 60s look print bag with apple green trim. I always carry black purses. Then for my birthday I got a red purse from TJ Maxx. It seems like after the diaper bag years we all deserve to branch out.
Cute bag! I can’t play today but I carry a large red shoulder bag (my DH calls it “the suitcase”) and most days also travel with a black diaper bag. Somedays if I’m feeling daring, I just stuff my phone, keys and wallet into the diaper bag.

I have a mustard colored purse right now that I carry. It is big enough to be a diaper bag – but isn’t. Namely since I am not married and don’t have children =D I got it brand new with tags at Goodwill for $7.
