Sunday Poem ~ My Prayer

House by the Sea by George Bjorkland

I pray for:
A little house by sand and tide
Where seashells on a shelf abide,
Enough to eat and some to share
With old and new friends who come there;
Enough to wear, a cozy fire,
A pillow soft when I retire.
Gratitude for simple pleasure
(A cup of tea, books, and leisure),
A dog to snuggle at my feet,
Making my joy the more complete.
Good health that I may myself tend
And peace with God to be my end.
