I always ask my Catholic friends about their traditions and the reasons behind them. If you've never studied Advent, which is typically celebrated by Catholics and Lutherans, you should learn more about it. Have you ever visited St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC? It's breath-taking. There's a lot of world history associated with the Catholic church as well. Do you have any friends who are or were Catholic? <em>I agree that some cathedrals are beautiful. I haven't read this book, but I do agree with you - I have no interest in the Catholic church or books about it.
