If your cell phone accidently falls and takes a short swim don’t lose hope. Just seal it in a bag of rice for 2 days.
Don’t believe me? Just ask my husband. His previously wet phone was able to be reactivated and the old junky phone was put back in the drawer.

Thanks for the tip! I have an almost 2 year old who continuously ends up with my cellphone. She also likes to throw things in the toilet. This may actually come in handy one day. I sure hope not though.:)

A few months ago I threw my jacket in the wash right after I finished a run, not realizing my iPod shuffle was still attached.
I tried submerging it in a bag of rice for two days, but it still didn’t function, so I ended up getting a new one — only to discover a week later that the original started working again! So, if two days don’t do the trick, and you can hold out a little longer, it’s worth trying a bit extra time.
