Wow this is something never heard of but as you have tested it and been successful gives us hope to try it. From where you heard or was it your idea.

A few months ago I threw my jacket in the wash right after I finished a run, not realizing my iPod shuffle was still attached.

I tried submerging it in a bag of rice for two days, but it still didn't function, so I ended up getting a new one -- only to discover a week later that the original started working again! So, if two days don't do the trick, and you can hold out a little longer, it's worth trying a bit extra time.

Great advice as always, Jendi!

Thank you! And thanks for the shuffle info. My man has one of those also. :) He's lost it twice and dropped it in the driveway twice. So far it's stayed dry, but odds are...

Thanks for the tip! I have an almost 2 year old who continuously ends up with my cellphone. She also likes to throw things in the toilet. This may actually come in handy one day. I sure hope not though.:)

No Way!! Cool, I will have to remember that one. I am always afraid of dropping it in something and ruining it! Good to know!

We were like, "Might as well try it. The phones already dead."
