After driving past this several times we decided to go in to Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge. It was a bit pricey, but fun.

My munchkins were fascinated by it – that means there were a million and one questions – until we decided to walk through that archway. The creaking and groaning sound effects in the archway completely unnerved our 2 year old.
There are all kinds of electronic attractions inside. Here we were attempting to land a space shuttle. Good thing it wasn’t a real flight.

This one tested how fast we were able to get the race car across the start line.

My husband said, “The bed of nails didn’t hurt.” So I tried it. I’ll never do it again. It was ouchie.

After all the electronic stuff there was a wacky museum with optical illusions similar to the ones I showed you before and much better. I loved the shadow pictures because it looked like a jumble of wires until you switch the light on.

So there you have a brief tour of where we spend a whole morning during our last vacation in Pigeon Forge. That evening we went to the aquarium and saw God’s creations instead of man’s.

Wonderworks really caught our attention whenever we drove by it. Our kids christened it “The Upside Down House.”

Do you know if that is newer? I have been to Pigeon Forge several times but I have never seen that before? I really don’t think I could have missed it!!
That looks like tons of fun!
I think your family would love it. I know for sure that it wasn’t there in ’98. You would have seen it. It’s right along the main stretch.
I don’t remember seeing that one either. We’ll have to check it out next time we go to Pigeon Forge. We really like it there. Now I want to go on vacation.
Glad you had fun!

It was fun. It was very loud, too.
Ok…the upside house is crazy! I would have a hard time trying to sell that one…then again, don’t think it would fly in my deed restricted neighborhood
If that business ever closes they’ll be stuck with the house!
Jendi!
Wow! I have NEVER seen anything like that house! How fun would that be.
I just read the comment that you left over at the nest and realized that I don’t have your email. So here I am to say that I wish I could give you a big hug. I pray that your house sells. But, I know what you mean about things like this changing you and usually, as much as it hurts, when you look back you are secretly or unsecretly thankful.
love to you!

I wasn’t going to do it, but my husband – who had on jeans and a jacket – said it didn’t hurt. I only had on a Turtleneck and really felt it on my back! Why did I listen to him?!
There was one of these in WI Dells, but we never went inside. Looks like alot of fun – except the bed of nails… =D

This is SUCH a fun place!! I just went on that bed of nails in Pigeon Forge!! It was SO cool!! The idea is to make yourself as flat as possible on the surface of the nails. Then it won’t hurt! I learned that by watching the Ellen Show – GO FIGURE. This science guy had Ellen do it – her face was PRICELESS!! Check it out: http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/teacher_training/steve-s-march-2009-ellen-visit I wonder if MY face looked like that?!?!?!?!
i live in newark new jersey and went to visit that house its great
