    YES! Please….just say no!

I solemnly promise to not wear socks with my Crocs again.

I asked my fashion smart friend her opinion. She said crocs with socks can only be worn with pants (so that you don’t actually see the socks.) That’s her rule for her kids. I don’t have crocs either (just my kids do), but that’s pretty much how we’ve done it. I think Anna Kate has worn socks with her fuzzy lined winter crocs and skirts a few times though. And I would not wear them with nylons either. Even the cute versions are still casual shoes.

Not nylons either! My legs are still glaringly white! You’re killing me here. :)

P.S. Those crocs of yours are very cute.

    Thanks! They’re comfortable too.

The kids on our street wear socks with crocs. We are a crocless family though. I don’t like to do trendy things. The DH would like to get a pair of orange ones though. He is a big man who looks a lot like Mario Batali (the chef). For Halloween (we don’t actually celebrate it) he has always wanted to go to work in a chef’s coat, shorts, orange crocs and a strawberry blond wig.

I agree with you about the trendy things. My husband is interested in one pair that looks more like a normal sandal. He’s curious to try them.

  5. No Socks with Crocs.

P.S- I want a pair for myself now.

    hmmmm…..

first let me preface this by saying, i am a HUGE fan of Crocs, despite what the Croc haters may say. but…i think that you can only wear socks with the clog style of Crocs, and maybe even the Mary jane style…maybe. but your style looks like a dress shoe style, and i wouldnt wear socks with my dress shoes anyways. so….

yes, i think mother’s gasped in horror when you walked into that library. possibly even shielded their childrens eyes with their very own library books. lol. hee hee.

i love those knee high socks, aka pant socks, aka dress socks. do you wear those? they are thicker than hose, comfy, and warm. they go up past my skirt line, so they give the illusion that i am wearing tights. those might be a nice alternative to your fashion faux pas socks. lol.

Is that what they were doing with those books? I went back the next week and they let me in. I was so relieved! :) Those pant socks sound like a great idea. Thanks.

Oh too funny! Jonathan, the oldest, just said, I like her! Meaning you, big compliment coming from a twelve year old boy! There is a little girl at church who has crocs, she wears them with socks and it’s cute of course she is 18 months so crocs with Sunday dress is cute. Anyway, I’ve never owned any, Leah hates them, she doesn’t want any, but I think they are cute. I like yours, not too sure about the others. And, I like the trouser socks like Joy. They are warm, and you can’t see my super white legs, that really need a summer tan.

Thank you Jonathan for the compliment. [Wow! He's 12! I remember him napping in the nursery with you.] I’m with you on the needing a tan part! My girls wanted some pink ones, but my son doesn’t have any.

I vote – no socks. Now, if you were wearing the clogs you could get away with socks. Maybe. I have a couple pair of the croc knock-offs and have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them. Still haven’t decided how I feel about them.

But, those ones you’re wearing are kind of cute. :)

I definitely think you would like some of the other styles better…maybe a pretty blue. :)

My fashion faux pas on a fashionista’s site?! I nervously agree.

I used to be a Croc hater. But now they have so many cute styles. I bought my first pair of Crocs a year ago January. I am so in love with them. They are even more comfortable than advertised. I now own 4 pair of Crocs including the Malindi that you are wearing. I have a new wedge heel pair of sandals on their way here. I can hardly wait.

As far as socks and Crocs, I only wear socks with the Mammoth style and only with pants. I think you could get away with socks with the Malindi if you wore pants… otherwise just say no!

BTW best deals are at shoebuy.com

ooo – thanks for the deal info! I didn’t get any of the original style for me, but they were so nice for the kids.

I agree with the others, no socks. Only with the clog ones, and only if they are short socks, like athletic ankle socks. I just ordered my 2nd pair of Crocs free through a P&G rebate! I love them in the summer…just squirt with the hose when the kids traipse through mud! And they were awesome at the beach!

Abbis last blog post..so dear to my heart

The wear and wash feature is great – for sure!

  12. Agggrrrrr, take those socks off… If it’s too cold for crocks without socks, where other shoes…
Crocks are summer, sea, sand, water… socks in crocks is overkill…

I have to disagree with the “no socks” Crocs wearers. I love my Crocs and wear only the Beach or Cayman style clogs. Very comfortable shoes that I wear almost all the time, except to work. I usually wear socks with my Crocs and find that it makes an already comfortable shoe even more so. Not a fashion statement, but oh well.

  14. Ailana says:

Those malindis are cute! You should wear little no-show nylon footies with them to show off your legs :-)
