Jendi's Journal – Wit & Wisdom from my Journey through Womanhood Rotating Header Image

What’s My Line?

There are over 10,000 bloggers signed up for Problogger’s program called 31 Days to Build a Better Blog.  That’s not even half the blogosphere.  Amazing!  I chose to sign up so that the lessons would be sent right to my email because I don’t read Problogger every day [shh - don't tell].

The first lesson was to write an elevator pitch.  I have a tagline – “Musings and Mommy Stuff.”  I think I need a bit more of a pitch.  This is what I came up with:

Sharing my life and likes to brighten your day and make new friends.

Does that sound like a good description for my blog?  How would you describe it?

Cyndi suggested, “Wit and wisdom on the journey of womanhood.”  What do you think?

Jendi, I like “Musings and Mommy stuff” over the new idea. It’s hard coming up with a subtitle for you because your blog is very diverse. (Which is why I like it.) I just can’t come up with anything that doesn’t sound cliche. You are friendly, wise, fun, gentle and supportive. Maybe “Wit and Wisdom on the journey of womanhood”? Good luck with this.

Thank you Cyndi. My blog is diverse. Maybe it’s because my thoughts are scattered. I like your idea; it even has alliteration!

I am doing the 31 Days To A Better Blog too am stuck on the elevator pitch.

I like the Sharing My Life and Likes part, but do like your current tag, Musings and Mommy Stuff. Maybe you could combine them? I don’t know. I’m horrible with this kind of stuff.

You’re great at the behind the scenes stuff! Combining might be a good idea.

  3. I’m doing this activity as well. I thought coming up with the Elevator Pitch was a tough one, but I like what I came up with — Musings of a Housewife is the online diary of a busy mother of 3 writing about everything life dishes out with a pinch of humor and a hefty dose of reality.

Looking forward to the next tasks on this journey!
