We gave each of our children a roll of Scotch tape in their Easter baskets. They loved it; it goes naturally with their love of coloring and crafting. Plus, it was preservation of my tape.
As my husband and I were buying it I told him, “Let’s not get the real good kind because I have no idea where they will stick it.”
Our 4 year old went through her whole roll in 3 days. Most of it was used on this wall.

Oh my, what a great idea! I will have to remember to do this. Both of my kids love tape also, and I can’t seem to keep tape in my dispenser because of it. It never occurred to me to give it as part of a gift. Thanks for the idea.

You are welcome. I’ve found that the office supply section has great gifts for my kids.
I can’t seem to keep tape in the house either! Even duct tape which is of course a boys favorite. Never thought of giving them their own tape, maybe I’d get to use my own that way.

I bet duct tape is harder to pull off the walls. Luckily we’re more into electrical tape here.
My kids are tape addicts. I buy the big bulk packs at Costco and they make it disappear with in a couple of months. I used to just have to replenish at Christmas time but not anymore. We do have days when we go around the house and pull tape off the walls and windows though. If we had a super fancy house I’d be a little more careful with where they were allowed to hang things but not where we are currently.

Wow. They need Tape Anonymous. A bulk path a month! LOL I’m planning on waiting for fancy until my kids are in college.
That is a really great idea! I would have to do masking tape, though. I’ve got tons of old woodwork in my house and that tape takes the finish right off. I speak from experience, can you tell?
Blue painters tape might work well.
