I read a bunch of Robin Lee Hatcher’s books a while ago then stopped because the themes did not interest me. There are so many Christian Fiction books flooding the market right now that I can be very selective. If not for that, I would have read more of her books. Recently I received When Love Blooms

Rachel Harris takes a job as a governess to two young girls in the remote Stanley Basin of Idaho, unaware that the girls’ mother, Dru, is dying and has chosen Rachel to help ease their sorrow when she dies. Gavin Blake married Dru, a widow, so that her daughters would have a secure future and safe home.
Although he and Dru have a marriage of convenience, Gavin is surprised to find himself attracted to Rachel. He has a serious distrust of all women and thinks that Rachel will never be able to trade her high society ways for the hard work of the ranch. Rachel, feeling guilty for her attraction to another woman’s husband, does her best to keep her distance…going so far as to deliberately make Gavin think she is not suited for the ranch life and is , in fact, in love with a rich landowner. But Dru is carefully setting the stage for Gavin to find true love and to secure a loving home for her children.

It seems strange, but the story line of this book isn’t so hard to believe. There was a lady in the church associated with the school I graduated from in PA who was dying of cancer. She found another single Christian lady in the church that she wanted her husband to marry when she died and she planned things out. It ended up working out. I will have to give this a read =D
This type of story was a small subplot in one of June Masters Bachers book series. I always found it interesting (Brian says it sounds like something I would do). I just requested the book from the library. :^) Thanks for the review.
I’m 3/4 of the way through the book, also reviewing it for Zondervan. I’m a big fan of Ms. Hatcher’s but I thought this wasn’t her best work. Still a light, easy read and enjoyable.
