Looks like the horse and buggies were definitely out in force that day! When I started learning to drive, we took a short day trip to Amish country (probably to eat at Shady Maple!). At a traffic light, a horse and buggy pulled up beside us. Not wanting to spook the horse with my erratic driving (we had a 5-speed manual and the clutch was. not. my. friend.) I let the horse & buggy pull out first. My dad still reminds me of the day the horse & buggy beat me through the intersection. :)

Well, at least the "non-photo" gave you some blog fodder, right? :P

P.S. I wasn't sure if you would see my reply to your question about the sand art, so I thought I would answer you here, too. My husband watched the "sand art guy" as he filled the vase, and he said that as the man finished the design, he mixed some glue and sand and then patted that down into the top. If you run your fingers across the opening, it is stiff and rough almost like cement so the art stays intact. :o)

I've tried to take pictures of the horses and buggies, and never have gotten a good shot. Must be the delay on the camera. I love seeing them though. I don't think they appreciate our fondness of them. We have recieved quite a few frowns over the years.

Hahaha...thanks for the laugh. I needed it. That's some wonderful photography. ;) I do know how hard it is to get a picture of a moving object from a moving vehicle though. :)
