She Found Herself After She Was Shipwrecked

The Blue Enchantress by M.L. Tyndall is better than the first in the series.  I’m eager to read the third since these keep getting better!

Hope Westcott is the heroine who has trusted in her looks and charms for too long.  In The Blue Enchantress the Lord works a might work in her spiritual life through very trying times in her physical life.  I love the way she learned of God’s forgiveness and true, abiding love.  

By her own foolishness she gets in a bad situation and sold on the auction block.  The ship carrying her towards home is captained by a mad man who sails them into a hurricane that sinks the ship.  Life on an island with fresh fruit and water is bearable.  The first ship to find them is a pirate ship, but the captain is not an ordinary pirate captain.  Finally back to civilization, she is found by the villian and goes through one more big ordeal before being reunited with her sister.

We were introduced to Nathaniel Mason in the first book.  In this book he is the true hero.  He is not portrayed as perfect, just pardoned and trying his best to live a good life.  He tries a little too hard until God lets him see that Nathaniel does not need to atone for his mother’s sins.

Unwillingly together they face slavers, insults, shipwreck, pirates, sickness, and the longing to be loved for who they are.

It’s a good read!
