Down On Grandpa’s Farm

farm from hill

There seem to be a lot of people in my area who are only one or two generations removed from farming.  I’m no exception.  My grandparents bought a farm when my mother was little.  This past weekend my 3 munchkins and I loaded into my parents mini-van and went to visit them.

I didn’t take any toys except 3 balls.  It seems to me like there is always lots to do there.  There is corn on the cob picked just that morning.  There are bikes, four wheelers, and tractors to ride.  There are sheep and turkeys to watch. There are swings made from telephone poles that let you go soaring through the air.  There are farm dogs, trees to climb, bugs, caterpillars, sticks, etc.

There is even my newest cousin to hold.

It was lots of fun.  I’m exhausted.  My kids want to go back today.
Any of you have relatives with a farm?  Do you like to visit them?

My grandparents lived on a farm when we were little!! We used to get in trouble for climbing up the HUGE mountain of coal dust!!! I don’t know where it came from but we were always black from it!!! We had fun! :-)
