Sunday Poem ~ Companion

Bottlenose Dolphins Leaping, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

When I went strolling on the shore
Beside a turquoise sea,
Where palm trees swayed and dolphins played,
God’s love enveloped me.

And when I climbed to mountain peaks,
I found His presence, too…
In meadowlands, on desert trails,
Neath starlit skies of blue.

God walked with me through happy times,
And on each rocky road;
His strength helped ease the burden of
An extra-heavy load.

Though life may take me far and wide
Until my journey’s end,
I’ll be at peace, for by my side
Is God, my dearest friend.
