…an automatic toilet paper dispenser.
I’ve seen paper towel dispensers that stop after about a foot of paper towel. Somebody needs to adapt it for toilet paper. Mothers of young children would snatch it up - if it was a good price. Imagine the possibilities!
I’m sure – sure – that in the long run it would pay for itself. I don’t even want to think about how much unused toilet paper has just gone down the drain. On one hand I am glad that it has gone down. There have been times when it just proceeded to clog the toilet. Nothing there but wads – wads – of TP. And really, toilet paper on the floor is no good either. Wasted.
There are times when the kids realize that they got too much. That’s good, I guess. At least they are thinking about it, but they never remember to use the toilet paper they have piled on the back of the toilet!
That picture is not from my house. I just thought it appropriate. Don’t you think that mother would use an automatic TP dispenser that could dispense a precise amount each time?
Edited: There are some great tips in the comments! and – Here is what I do to Keep the Toilet Paper on the Roll.

I would SO use an automatic TP dispenser!!! Now we do ok with it but in a little while we are going to go thru it all again!! My 1yr old I am so sure will take his turn in the ‘unroll the TP’ game!! lol I liked your idea a while ago of squashing the roll before putting it on so it does not roll as easy!!

It also helps to have it roll behind the roll instead of over the top and forward (does that make sense?). At least that helped with my cats. Maybe your kids are smarter than my cats though. =)

It’s might not be so much that the little kids are smarter than the cats..LOL… but the kids have thumbs!! Mine grab the piece of TP and pull and pull and pull…. you get the idea!! I have not seen them just smack it and make it spin but they figured out if they can give it a hard enough pull it will keep unrolling! I guess it is fun for them!??!?!!
