A New Series By Annalisa Daughety

I’m admitting that Love Is a Battlefield by Annalisa Daughety was better than I expected.  If I would have just seen this on a library shelf I would not have picked it up – even though the girl on the cover resembles Sandra Bullock.

It’s a light, fun read.  It’s not deep, or scary, or full of facts.  I say it’s better than I expected because I expected the heroine to be self-centered and whiny, but she turned out to be a nice lady I wouldn’t mind being friends with.  The main spiritual emphasis is on forgiveness.

Here’s the blurb from Barbour Publishing:

Take a walk in Shiloh National Military Park in this fun, fast-paced romance by Annalisa Daughety, a new voice in women’s contemporary fiction. Recent history has taught Kristy O’Neal not to believe in love or risk her heart. Ace Kennedy came to Shiloh to research his family history—but it’s Park Ranger Kristy he’s studying. Using his own ancestors as an example, can he prove that true love really does exist before Kristy walks away forever?

This is the first in the series titled A Walk In The Park, and I’m pretty sure we’ve already been introduced to the next two heroines.  Find out more at Annalisa Daughety’s web site.

I won this book through a contest on Twitter, and sadly I don’t remember which group it was through.  I’m sorry for forgetting, but thanks for the book!  I did add my Amazon affiliate link in this post.

Ah, that’s hilarious. I went to college with the author. I knew she had written some books but I knew nothing about them. I will have to check it out now.
