Sunday Poem ~ Small Valentines

Something sticky this way comes;
I feel the prickling in my thumbs,
Syrupy verse or even worse,
Chocolate,waxed and runny.

Something sticky this way comes
With tattered lace or grimy crumbs,
Elastic sweets or homemade treats,
Hidden in a pocket.

Something sticky this way comes,
Love smeared with candied mediums,
A tiny face, where one can trace
Uncomplicated giving.
