Double Trouble and iPod Giveaway

I was excited to read Double Trouble (PJ Sugar)by Susan May Warren because I read the first one, Nothing but Trouble, and loved it. The second one was just as good – if not better because PJ Sugar is not feeling so guilty or confused.  She is loving her PI work, most of the time. She still has some issues to deal with, as well as two men to decide between.

I really enjoyed….

  1. the cozy mystery aspect of PJ supposed to be just an assistant but reading the PI manual and finding clues on her own.
  2. …the not-too-scary danger of PJ disguising herself as another woman who is in the witness protection program.
  3. …the reference to old movies – especially Roman Holiday.
  4. …the mix of craziness and brilliance that is PJ.
  5. …how she talks to the Lord – though I think she could have used a bit more of that.
  6. …the satisfactory ending that was good, but left me ready for more PJ Sugar books.

Here is the backcover copy:

With one solved case under her belt, PJ Sugar is ready to dive into her career as a private investigator. Or at least a PI’s assistant until she can prove herself to Jeremy Kane, her new boss. Suddenly PJ’s seeing crime everywhere. But is it just in her head, or can she trust her instincts? When she takes on her first official case-house-sitting for a witness in protective custody-Jeremy assures her there’s no danger involved. But it soon becomes clear that there is someone after the witness . . . and now they’re after PJ, too.
